KSD301 Bimetal Thermostat

KSD301 Bimetal Thermostat series products are thermostats that use bimetallic disc as temperature sensing elements. When the appliance is working normally, the bimetallic disc is in a free state and the contacts are in a closed/ open state. When the temperature reaches the action temperature, the bimetallic disc is heated to generate internal stress and quickly moves, opening/closing the contacts, cutting off the circuit, thereby playing a role in temperature control.

The KSD301 Bimetal Thermostat is a temperature control element that is based on the principle of thermal expansion and contraction of bimetallic strips. It is extensively employed in automation systems, industrial apparatus, and household appliances. The circuit is automatically controlled on and off by the precise sensing of temperature changes. It accommodates two contact forms: ordinarily open (NO) and normally closed (NC), which can be adjusted to accommodate the temperature protection and adjustment requirements of various scenarios.

KSD301 Bimetal Thermostat Two metal panels with varying thermal expansion coefficients are used to weld the interior of the bimetallic thermostat. The bimetallic strip deforms and bends as the ambient temperature increases, causing the contact to move (open or close) due to the difference in expansion coefficient. The metal strip returns to its original state and the contact is reset when the temperature lowers to the reset point. The KSD301 series obtains a temperature control accuracy of ±1℃5℃ (depending on the model) by precisely setting the temperature threshold.
